Comparison Of Plans
The Medigap Plan A covers some Medicare Part A and Part B expenses, such as coinsurance and copayments for hospital and hospice care, Part B coinsurance and copayments, and some blood transfusion costs.

The Part A deductible is also covered by Medigap Plan B, which has the same benefits as Plan A.

Plan C for Medigap insurance: Plan C offers the same benefits as Plans A and B. The Medicare Part B deductible, the coinsurance for skilled nursing facilities, and 80% of emergency medical expenses incurred when travelling abroad are also covered.

Plan D for Medigap insurance pays the same expenses as Plan C. The Medicare Part B deductible and Part B excess payments are not covered.

Medigap Plan F: Of the 10 plans, Plan F offers the broadest coverage. It includes 100% of the part B excess charges and the same coverage as Plan C. Plan F has a high-deductible variant.

Plan G is the second most comprehensive Medigap option. Except for the Medicare Part B deductible, it provides the same coverage as Plan F. Plan G has a high-deductible variant.

Medigap Plan K: Plan K pays 100% of the Part A coinsurance and hospital expenses, 50% of the Part B coinsurance or copayments, 50% of the first three pints of blood used for transfusions, 50% of the Part A hospice care coinsurance or copayments, 50% of the coinsurance for skilled nursing facilities, and 50% of the Part A deductible.

Medigap Plan L: Plan L fully covers hospital expenses and the Part A coinsurance. Additionally, it pays for 75% of Part K’s expenses.

Medigap Plan M: Plan M pays 100% of the Part A coinsurance and hospital costs, 100% of the Part B coinsurance or copayments, 100% of the first 3 pints of blood for transfusions, 100% of the Part A hospice care coinsurance or copayments, 100% of the coinsurance for skilled nursing care facilities, 50% of the Part A deductible, and 80% of the costs of emergency medical care for international travel.
